September 2021 Newsletter

Big news times three!

  • You can apply today to join the YDHI board as our Membership & Chapter Director.

  • You can volunteer with us this weekend or next month in Kalihi at a COVID-19 vaccination and testing event.

  • You can meet Lt. Gov. Josh Green, former Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell, and former First Lady Vicky Cayetano--all Democratic candidates for Governor in the 2022 election--at YDHI online Pau Hanas in the next few weeks.

A Look Back

September 1: Led by our Legislative Committee, we submitted testimony to the Honolulu City Council in support of Resolution 21-194, urging the city and state to implement a Digital Health Card to combat the spread of COVID-19.

At a meeting a few days later, the Council Committee on Transportation, Sustainability and Health approved the resolution, and it will now go to the full City Council!

You can join the YDHI Legislative Committee and have a say in which bills and resolutions we prioritize statewide. Now is a great time to join before the important 2022 state legislative session. Join by emailing
